Fictional Media Analyst
About
Nadia Ahmirah ( she/her ) is an I.T. professional who assists in managing a team of co-workers in a dynamic environment by day, and an ardent writer by night.Currently residing in rainy England, she is an unique amalgam of Middle Eastern and Mauritian heritage which provides her with a wonderfully rare perspective of the world around her, consistently teetering on the edge of sheer optimism and pessimism.Dabbling in varied prose for flash fiction and collaborative pieces when inspiration strikes, she's an avid consumer of wildly diverse media with character journeys being her key point of interest. From vampire slayers, superhero hijinks, karate soap operas and robots seeking the meaning of their own sentience, she often analyses complex characters that are dear to her - this usually involves breaking down scenes from movies and TV shows or panels from comic books with a superfluous degree of detail to get to the heart of their core essence... all whilst nursing a cup of Earl Grey.
Areas of interest for the exploration of speculative fiction: ranging from apocalyptical settings, magical realism, cyberpunk, the supernatural, old Westerns, and an alternative spin on the lore surrounding Ancient Egyptian, Greek and Norse mythology.
